Nield & I go to Bromley & make a tour of bookshops. I purchase a Materia Medica & other books.
The British, Canadians, Australians & French have within last 3 days captured 40,000 prisoners & over 300 guns on the Amiens front.

Nield, Monrufret & I go to Bromley. Shops closed, but we go to Pictures Palace.
The Americans & French have captured 30,000 Huns & 150 guns within the last week.
Monrufret & I go for a walk to Chelsfield & St. Mary’s Cray.

Monrufret & I rise early & go collecting mushrooms. Can only find St. George species which are edible.

My final Medical Board papers are made out & sent down to the office. I call on Cpl. Brading of Fort Wm. Ontario.
Pt. Nield & I go to see the historic Orpington Church dating back to 1200. A number of the Dethick & Bassett families were Vicars circa 1400.
