I leave Seagrave by pony and trap for Rearsby. Catch 8:35 am train for Melton. Call at Sexton’s house. Parish Church Mr Middleton the curate is there and I find he has been to Fort William. Go to Church and get registers then to the Manor House, look thro’ them with Mr Reverend S.D Middleton. I lunch with Mr Sergeant, Mrs Bach, etc. Then tea at 5:30. Take 6:22 train for Rearsby.
