Up @ am & make a tour of East end of London. Also around St. Paul’s. I find Ch. of St. Magnus. Called earlier days St. Magnes. Ch. Of All Hallows is pulled down. Saw a tank on the move. Have dinner at Canadian Y.M.C.A. In afternoon I tour the West End. Have tea @ Eagle “American” Y.M.C.A. Then to Baron’s Court to see Aunt Rhia. She gives me photos of Dad (Harry & I when young).

Monday 4 March 1918
Harry much better & comes downstairs. I leave Harry’s @ 11 am for London & Egham. Quiet reflection.
Sunday 3 March 1918
Harry & I take a cycle tour around Roby etc. Harry very ill @ night. Violent pains in abdomen. I to Upton’s to say goodbye. Go to church with Harry’s wife, mother & sister Jessie.

Friday 1 March 1918
Up @ 6 am & catch train for Egham @ 6.40. Arr. camp 8 am where I find my leave has been extended to Monday. I go back to Liverpool by 11.25 train via London. Arr. @ Harry’s 8 pm. Big surprise for them.
Thursday 28 February 1918
I leave L’pool via Birkenhead for Egham @ 4.30 pm. Harry sees me off. Have to stay all night @ Reading on a/c of wreck on line.
