I leave L’pool on 9.40 am train for Egham. Stop off @ Stafford & see Dr. Miller. Entrain again @ 4.20 pm & arr Egham @ 12 midnight.
At Stafford I called on Mr. & Mrs. Rushton, Fruiterers. They were born @ Draycot.

I receive orders to get my Khaki as I am to be sent back to my depot tomorrow.
It rains all day. I go to Harry’s. Much surprised at the news.
I write to Dr. Miller & Lee.

Interviewed by Colonel Burris of the staff here re my case. He, very cunning, asks me if I could carry on as an AI man!!! Heavy questions containing much rot are put to me.
Sister Martha very ill in Hospl. at Toronto. Appendicitis.

Bro. Charles & I go to Mrs. Brighton’s in afternoon & return to Harry’s @ 5 pm. We part at 8 pm as I leave for hospital and Charles goes back at 10 pm Lime St. for Sunderland much depressed.
Thursday 13 June 1918
Charles & I go for walk. He accompanies me to the Hospital. Looks ill.
I go to S. G. Upton’s in evening. All well. I take Charles with me.
Wednesday 12 June 1918
Charles my bro. home on leave for 4 days yesterday. We go for a walk.
To Library (Picton reading room) at 2 pm.
To Harry’s @ 4.30
To Upton’s @ 5.30. Jack is still in France.
