Sent photos film to Wagstaffes of Burnaby. Charles is home out of work. I write letters to Miss Myrtle Quirt. A million rounds of ammunition is smuggled into Dublin for Carson’s “army”.
Sunday 12 July 1914 – clouds
Up at 9 am inspecting the garden. Out picking wild raspberries with Mr. A. Wagstaffe & boys & Mr. Nutt of New Westminster. Home again at 2 pm and had dinner. Invited down to Neat’s for evening dinner. All the Wagstaffe family & self. Had pleasant time & left for home at 9:30 pm arrive in Lynn Valley 11 pm.
Sunday 5 July 1914 – dull
Writing letters in morning to Bessie, Ernest, Harry, Martha, Draycots. Coburn of Dracut, Massachusetts.:

To Haswell’s in evening for supper afterwards to church. Home at 9 pm. Met Jack Neat, treated him at Williams Store. Confab with Mrs. Arnott at Church regarding Church work.
